I seen that game in one of Will Wright's early video of Spore...he was talking about the game of life and I was so interested it...(wait..does that make me a nerd?)

I'm not sure if you're fooling around or not...but...
Here's some good tips:
1) Explosion: Add blur effects so the color is...smoother
2) maybe a little more frame by frame so it will be smoother
3) Longer?
4) Keep on working
